✧ AGRII SHIP ✧

If there is one thing that should be immediately noted about the Agrii vessel, it’s that it’s giant. The home of the surviving Agrii is larger than even The Glitter Food and The Peanut Party put together. It is a long and vaguely oval-shaped ship with a middle covered from one side to the other with a large pane of what seems to be glass. While the new ships are very large for the He Rows, this one looks large enough to house a large city, or maybe even a small state or country. It contains the last survivors of a people and so the best way to consider it is by looking at it section by section.

In a lot of ways this new city looks very much like the capital of Temba. For one thing there's no denying that it hasn't been lived in for a very long time. Many structures are damaged or even fallen, the roads are broken up and ruined by the progress of time and tree roots, and even the atmosphere seems to speak of a place long since abandoned.

There are differences though, first and foremost of which is that while the air is humid, there is a lot less standing water throughout the whole of the city. The flooded areas that seem common in Temba are not found as easily here. Instead the dominant form of wear and tear over time seems to come from the proponderance of plant life, especially tall, durable trees with trunks that in some cases are so thick that it might take three or four people joining hands to encircle them. These trees not only grow all over the city, but even on the roofs of some structures, or in places where they might once have been meant as decorative elements, with these rooftop forests and decorative areas being more likely to be fruit or nut bearing trees.

There's also a general difference in the architecture itself, but that's just something that happens between different cities, right? Where Temba is often strucures of metal and glass and stone, this city is almost only stone. Stone that looks carved from a single piece, or stones that seem strangely fused together by melting rather than with mortar or careful cutting. Many of the structures, even those with windows, don't have glass in them but rather screens of stone or extremely hard wood that have miraculously survived over long years in some chunks.

The truly insightful explorer might even find that the scale of the city is different. The city doesn't cover nearly as much ground, and even what it does tends to be in smaller buildings. Not shorter, no not that at all, but smaller. More designed to account for the size and bulk of a large human, whereas Temba tends to have tall doorways and slightly wider halls. The buildings do share some things in common though, with more floors and often the lower ones dedicated to open spaces or not seeming nearly as in use as higher ones. Guess some people just like to build upward. But again, architectural styles do change over the years and between different regions on other planets, so it isn't all that shocking.

Or perhaps there is some shock and something to think about, because in their explorations the He Rows have been finding signs that perhaps this city was not home to Agrii, but rather the species known as Graq. This alien race was encountered when the He Rows were taken into space by Ga Re to save those Agrii who were going missing. The Graq were slightly taller and more muscular than humans and looked a lot like teddy bears with oversized, red eyes and a pug's mouth. This species was not known for being the brightest, spitting toxins, and for shaping stone with their spit. But why would the place give hints of their presence when the Agrii claimed to have never met the Graq before that encounter in space?

✧ DEVICES & NETWORK ✧

All characters receive a communications device with access to the network when they arrive. Posts may be made to the network as a whole; closed person-to-person communication is also available. Just indicate on your post to the community the level of security on the character's post. All messages no matter the medium or number of individuals involved have the name of the people participating tied to their contributions. The only time this may not be true is from the Agrii, or when involving an individual using the Communications datapoint. Those with Comms can change names of themselves or any other users, add color, and potentially hack into any private/filtered messages outside of Mass Sages (see below). For more information on what this or other expertises can do, please see the datapoints information page.

✧ MAP OF TEMBA ✧

Click for a larger version

Temba is the capital city of Agra 10, the (former?) homeworld of the Agrii race. It's a large, abandoned city clearly in an advanced state of disrepair, with nature slowly starting to creep back in. Some artifacts of the people who lived here still remain, but most are in poor shape or have completely crumbled to dust.

Power and water have been restored, thanks to our intrepid heroes. See the separate Data Points page for more details on the Data Points sprinkled throughout the city.

Thanks to Section 31, all heroes now have a full map of the city on their communicators. New arrivals will also receive this map.

NOTE FOR ALL PLAYERS: Locations labeled TBD are available for players to explore and decide what they might be. Does this building look like it might have been a store? A residence? A dance studio? Do you want to renovate it into your home away from home? Please feel free to fill in the world around you! If you'd like to claim a building for a purpose, please leave a comment and we'll update the map.

Not shown on the map: Beach and Caves located south of Temba.

Player Plot Suggestion
& Adventure Request

Do you have something in mind you want to play out? Maybe you want to do a little player plot, have an idea for a fun event or just want to go and explore a certain place on the map? Then this is the page for you to head to for quick and easy contact to your modly lot.

Just let us know what you have in mind and we will be happy to work with you by offering input, additional information and potential discoveries for your characters to make.

Comments on this page will be screened in case you want your plot be a surprise for your fellow He-Rows ;)

Barry/Funfrond Contact Request

Starting in August 2021, The Revival Project provided more information upon the Barry ad Funfrond peoples as part of an event. While the initial catalyst for attempting to speak to these peoples has passed, they are still available for He Rows to seek out and attempt to interact with, in both positive and negative manners.

Both the Barry and Funfrond interactions are done through NPC interactions, and as such we require players request contact by filling out the form below and labeling your subject line as 'Barry/Funfrond Contact Request'.

Character Death & Injury
Intervention Request

Starting in October 2021, The Revival Project introduced its death mechanic as part of an event. The Agrii care very much for their He Rows and have been doing their best to watch over and protect them. In cases of serious, life threatening danger, the Agrii will intervene. One cannot die or be at high risk in secret, given the Agrii really are always watching.

Using the form below you can report a character's impending death (or severe injury) and you'll receive an Agrii NPC ensuring you don't catch that bullet, aren't hit by that fatal blow, or buried under the building crumbling right above you. Sounds agreeable? Yes, this means you won't actually die. This can also be used if a character is about to become seriously maimed, but a player does not wish for that to happen.

Please comment using the form below and label your subject line as 'Death Intervention Request'. Mods will get back to you as quickly as possible.

Lethe's Balm Notification

Starting in October 2021, The Revival Project introduced a fully optional memory removal mechanic part of an event. This is in the form of a tea that can only be accessed and administered by someone with the medical datapoint. More information is available on the linked event post.

While there is no need for mods to confirm/permit consumption of this option, it is required that you inform us of this decision by commenting with the form below and labeling your subject line as 'Lethe's Balm Notification'.

Smooolsher Usage Request

Starting in April 2024, He Rows gained access to The Smooolsher as part of an event. This is a device of limited charges that will allow He Rows to bypass forcefields (in all but a few specific circumstances).

The Smooolsher currently has Four Three Charges Left. Given the limited use nature of the Smooolsher we do require players put forth a plan of action before usage is required. We will determine if there is currently a force field at that location, and then discuss your plan to approach the situation with you. Once we decide the plan is valid, you will be asked to provide a brief argument for why the charge should be used at the location that we can present to your fellow players.

Once this is all met, the Mods will make an OOC comm post with your suggested usage location and your argument, and will open screened comment section that will run for one week. We will allow one vote per player, not character. Majority result among those submitted will determine if the charge is used or not. If it is, we will then provide information as to what happens to the original requester to make use of.

If your character would not normally have access to the Smooolsher, we will help you find a way to 'acquire it'. Please note: all Smooolsher usage requires an Engineer. The character presenting the idea does not have to be an engineer though. Please note who will be serving as designated Engineer when filling out the form below. Please label your subject line as 'Smooolsher Usage Request'.

✧ WILDLIFE OF AGRA 10 ✧

Much could be said regarding the wealth of genetic diversity known to occur around this area of Agra 10. In particular it is very clear that the incautious could easily find themselves in a great deal of trouble from no small number of threats. Nor are those threats limited to the large such as the Ka-Rou. Sometimes the greatest threats are the smallest, such as a native, parasitic insect species known to take control of their hosts. Nor can safety be reasonably expected by flight into the native waters, where new and dangerous creatures await unsuspecting prey.

✧ SHIPS ✧

For years the Agrii have observed and studied their He-Rows. They gathered notes of the things those He-Rows like, the things they built, the things they did in their free time. Then all this knowledge was brought together to result in these truly optimized space vessels:

The Peanut Party and The Glitter Food!

With roughly 700m in length, 400m wide and 50m at their highest point, these ships are several times the size of their predecessors and easily able to house a small town. Which is exactly what they were built for.

✧ DATA POINTS & EXPERTISE ✧

When the remaining Agrii left the planet, they did their best to set up Data Points around the city to explain what happened and to help guide anyone who might arrive and was able to fix things. Data Points are hovering, glowing orbs that, when touched, download information into your mind like inserting a flash drive into a computer. The experience is nearly instantaneous, and can be a little disorienting. Most characters might describe it as white light flooding their mind, leaving information in its wake.

All characters have basic knowledge of the planet after touching the Data Point in the fountain courtyard upon arrival. In addition to that, they may hold one expertise, or specialized skill. Each Data Point will give different information or an expertise once powered up. Characters can hold one expertise at a time, gained by touching the Data Point. Your character may switch expertises at any time, but they must forget their previous expertise to gain a new one. For example, if your character originally held the medicine expertise but now wants to learn engineering, he must go to the engineering Data Point and touch it. At that point, the medicine expertise will be gone (but not any innate knowledge your character arrived on the planet with, of course - that stays!) and replaced with the engineering expertise.

The skills these expertises grant cannot be easily taught to another, nor can sufficient notes be taken while in possession of one to allow a person to truly do all that expertise grants someone who uses them. For instance giving up the Medical expertise will mean that some Agrii medical systems just won't make sense, and giving up Communications will mean someone doesn't understand the programming language of the network and similar systems and can no longer make changes to them.

Additional information about Data Points and expertise can be found in the FAQ.

✧ DROP ✧

We're sorry to see you go! If you would like to drop the game, you may do so at any time - if you're able, please fill out the code below and leave it in a comment on this post so we can take care of the administrative details. If you're dropping more than one character, please include the name and username of each character you are dropping; we will only consider characters listed in the drop comment as dropped.

You can also feel free to post a note in the OOC community if you'd like, but this is not required.

Characters who drop will simply disappear from Agra 10. This will happen on the date the drop comment is posted unless otherwise specified. If you have a request about the IC circumstances of your drop, please ask a mod.

Dropped characters become available for anyone to reserve/app 3 days after the drop comment is posted.

Players are welcome to re-reserve/app their dropped character in the future if they wish, provided the character is available and the player meets criteria for an additional character (if applicable).

✧ HIATUS ✧

Life happens! If you will be unable to play for at least one week out of a calendar month/AC period, you may post a hiatus for one (or more, if applicable) of your characters. A hiatus post will equal one free AC pass for the calendar month in which the most days of the hiatus fall (i.e., if you post a hiatus that spans two months, the month in which you are hiatused longer will receive the AC pass).

You may adjust the length of your hiatus if necessary by replying to your original comment. We will leave all current hiatus comments available and unscreened until the end of the calendar/AC month.

If you need to hiatus longer than one full month (4 weeks), please message the mods either by DM to the [personal profile] trpmods account to let us know what's up!

To post a hiatus, please copy and paste the code below into a comment on this entry, replacing CAPITALS with your information. If you are hiatusing more than one character, please include all characters/usernames. Only characters listed in the comment will receive an AC pass.

You may post a hiatus for another player, just make sure you list their information correctly!

Our full AC/hiatus rules are also listed in the Game FAQ.

While you are on hiatus, your character will be on a private, secret mission that the Agrii abduct them for. What was the mission? What did you do? Where were you? No one knows! All you can remember is the feeling of being observed at all times. Maybe there are some scratches you don't remember getting. Maybe you suddenly don't like certain noises or words. Maybe you come back glowing and at peace like you spent time at the spa. No one knows what happened while you were gone and your character will never remember it but whatever it is, at least it didn't kill you...

✧ PLANT LIFE OF AGRA 10 ✧

Potato-like roots as big as a frying pan grow almost everywhere there is grass. Alongside it is often bright pink tubular growths that have the texture of a carrot but taste like a tomato. Berries are hit and miss around here so eat them with caution. There are some baby-blue ones that are good as well as some speckled yellow ones. Large, red berries that look like overgrown cherries also hang from bushes around town and in the forest. Rumor has it that overripe ones produce an intoxicating effect on most people not unlike being drunk. Taste those with caution.

✧ RULES ✧

1. Please be kind and treat everyone in the game with respect. If you have concerns or conflicts, remember that good communication can solve many things! Please bring issues to the attention of any of the mods however you feel comfortable (Player Contact Page) and we will work with you OOCly to solve issues. Also, remember that OOC issues and IC issues are not the same.

2. No infomodding/godmodding/metagaming (you know what we mean) is allowed. There are times when you as a player will have more information than your character or others'; please do your best to keep OOC/IC knowledge separate, and ask questions or bring concerns to the mods if you're not sure.

3. All players must be 18+, no exceptions.

4. Each player may play up to three characters. You must successfully pass three rounds of AC checks before submitting an application for your second (or third) character. If you would like to play more than three characters, please contact the mods to discuss it.

5. To remain in the game, you must participate in monthly Activity Checks (with the exception of characters on hiatus). For each calendar month, you must be able to provide proof of ONE open log/post made by your character, or TWO threads containing at least five responses from your character in each that are about three sentences long for a total of 10 comments. (NOTE: This exact number of sentences every tag is not necessary - we're just looking to make sure you're putting effort into your gameplay.)

Our full rules regarding AC and hiatuses/strikes, including the types of threads that do and do not count, can be found here.

6. We ask that you fill out a Permissions Form upon acceptance into the game. This will help other players learn more about your preferences, as well as your character. If you're uncomfortable about any of the questions asked, let a mod know.

7. All players must participate in semi-regular HMD posts. This means replying to these posts with your characters to ensure a forum where players can leave feedback. (Leaving feedback for others is not mandatory, but encouraged when applicable.) When leaving feedback/comments, please make sure it is constructive; criticism solely to be mean or derogatory will not be tolerated.

8. You are here to play in a game. TRP should not be used as your own personal PSL community or musebox. Basically, remember that every character in the game should be, well, fair game. While we understand that some characters and even players don't click, tagging out is heartily encouraged and limiting play to a handful of characters/players isn't in the spirit of participating in a game.

✧ He Row Soup Lies ✧

In one of the buildings in the town square - the one that once held a welcome party for the new arrivals - all signs of the feast have vanished. The scribbles on the wall now read "HE ROW SOUP LIES," accompanied by several instances of the word "ASK" in various colors and sizes. Beside that is written "us thank they!"

The tables have been replaced by one large bright pink box. The word "ASK" is also written on it multiple times.

Here is where you can request things of the Agrii. They're very grateful for your presence and would love to do anything they can to help. Anything at all.

Just ... ASK.

The Replicator

Ever since the Agrii sent the He-Rows to Risa, the Replicator has become a permanent fixture next to the Soup Lies box, useful for things that the Soup Lies cannot provide or may be too complicated for the Agrii to understand. Information about the full functions of the replicator are available in the game FAQ. If you have any questions not addressed there, please ask them on the FAQ.

Using the Replicator does not require you to post here.
